First things first - setting up your Slidebank account is easy. Let us know what you want your site to be called and we'll build it for you. That part takes about 10 minutes!
Once you've received your login, as an Administrator, there are some best practice steps to go through to get your account user-ready.
We'll have a setup call with you to discuss these in more depth, but you can get going right away.
Step 1 - Add user profiles
Users can be added in batches, or one by one. The method you choose will depend on how many users you want to start off with.
We recommend at this stage not sending out users' login details as part of this step. You'll want to make sure there's a good body of content waiting for them the first time they log in.

Step 2 - Set user Abilities
You can customise the Slidebank experience to a large degree for different groups of users by setting the Abilities.
Abilities can be set by Department, by Role or by Individual. This means you can have an entirely different set of Abilities for each and every user if you need to.
Abilities can be accessed under Setup > User Abilities or under each user's profile in 'Manage Users'.

Step 3 - Upload content
You can upload files one by one or in bulk with a simple drag-and-drop.
Once you've uploaded files, make sure you've shared them with the relevant users. There's nothing worse than logging into an application for the first time and not seeing anything of value!
Once you've uploaded PowerPoint files, you can explore slide grouping and locking the content of slides against editing. This will determine the manner in which users use your files.
You might also want to collaborate on files with other users, or set expiry dates. These settings also live with each individual file.
Step 4 - Configure security settings
You might want to implement Single Sign On for your users, or manage the frequency with which they change their passwords.
Even if you don't change anything, it's worth casting your eye over the security settings for your account to make sure they're as you'd want them.
Step 5 - Onboard users
We can help to train your users through a recordable webinar, so do make sure you get in touch with us to schedule this.
We'd recommend sending out user login details immediately after this training session when enthusiasm is at a high!
