The answer to this question is a simple one... in Slidebank, each file has its own access settings.
That means that every user can potentially have access to very different sets of content within the system.
To be able to see a file in the library, or to see its slides in search results, you need to have been given access to the file.
A Slidebank Administrator or the file owner can change a file's access settings, or other users if they've been given specific editing rights to that file.
To change a file's access settings, click on the 'options' button next to the file name in the library. Next, click 'File Access and Privileges'.
This will bring up a popup that allows you to control who can and can't access the file:
If the box is ticked, that user or group of users can see and use the file in Slidebank. You can give access to an entire Department, and entire Role or individual users. You can also search for a specific user to grant them access directly.
If you can't see a file that you know exists in Slidebank, ask an Administrator to check that you have been granted access.
If you can't see a folder that you know exists, it's likely because you don't have access to any of the files that live inside that folder. You need to have been granted access to at least one file for the folder to show up in your library.
