The use of generic names such as ‘Marketing’, ‘Sales Staff’ or ‘Training’ instead of genuine user names is not permitted in Slidebank for the following reasons:
If more than one person attempts to log in using the same account, there is a possibility of system errors, which in turn might result in corruption of your database. Needless to say, such a practice also renders inoperable any security settings, logging and audit trails provided by the system, which would raise serious Compliance issues.
Shared accounts are prohibited by your Slidebank Service Agreement. This states:
“Use of the Services by you - You agree that all users of the Service shall be individually named company employees or associates, for example 'Simon.Smith' and that this Agreement is between Digital Image and individually identifiable end-users logging in under their own names and acting on behalf of their Company. Specifically, the use of generic names such as 'sales.department' is prohibited under this Agreement and render inoperable the Slidebank logging functionality designed to help you record, track and audit user activity.”Because Slidebank is licensed by the individual user, several users sharing the same account is seen as potentially fraudulent.
For these reasons, if the sharing of user profiles is detected, your account will be suspended for all users.
